Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor of Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research
The Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research (GSSWSR) at ÌÒ×ÓÊÓÆµ invites applications for a one-year, full-time, Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning August 1, 2025. This position is intended to augment the full-time tenure-track faculty in at least three of the following required curricular areas including: Social Policy; Foundation Practice; Theoretical Perspectives in Social Work; Research Informed Practice I; and Power, Privilege and Oppression. The ideal candidate will bring social-work teaching and professional practice experience to the classroom. A Master of Social Work degree (MSW) and at least two (2) years of post-MSW professional experience are required.
The Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor will teach three (3) courses in each semester of the 2025-26 academic year. It is expected that the candidate will be engaged in a full array of faculty roles and responsibilities consistent with employment as a visiting faculty member at ÌÒ×ÓÊÓÆµ, including academic advising of a cohort of master’s students. In addition, they will participate in the ongoing work of the full-time faculty including teaching groups associated with the courses being taught. They will also attend faculty meetings and assist in the work of the GSSWSR faculty, such as committees and work groups, as requested by the Dean.
