桃子视频 is rolling out a series of campus safety upgrades as part of a multiphase plan to modernize emergency infrastructure and building access.
The College will be installing card access at a number of buildings in the near future. The buildings gaining card access include Taylor Hall, the Benham Gateway and the Human Resources building,
The building access upgrades are one of many changes happening as the College institutes a multiphase effort to improve and enhance safety and security on campus.
Effective September 1, Lil Burroughs, who has served for many years as the Bi-Co Campus Safety Executive Director, took on the role of Executive Director of Bryn Mawr鈥檚 Office of Campus Safety, focusing exclusively on the safety and well-being of the Bryn Mawr community. At the same time, Jerry Fayette, previously the associate director of Bi-College campus safety, will transition to head up Haverford College鈥檚 Campus Safety Office.
This transition marks a new chapter for both campuses, as their respective Offices of Campus Safety will move forward as independent entities.
Bryn Mawr鈥檚 office will now report directly to Samir Datta, vice president for finance and administration. This shift allows each office to focus more directly on the unique needs of their individual communities while continuing to ensure a safe and supportive campus environment.
The next phase of infrastructure upgrades includes implementing card access to additional buildings and the replacement of 24 call boxes with newer models, which will be placed on campus in the fall semester. These call boxes will be easier to locate than the previous models and offer enhanced features such as Wi-Fi extenders and security cameras. Over the summer, the college added security cameras to several buildings throughout campus, with more to be added in future phases.
鈥淥ur goal is to strengthen both the sense of security and the actual safety resources available to our community,鈥 says Burroughs 鈥淭hese upgrades and changes are just the initial steps in our multiphase plan designed to support the well-being of every student, faculty, staff member, and visitor.鈥
